With BILL Pay By Card, you can make a vendor or contractor payment within BILL using a credit or debit card, even if they don't accept card payments. Your vendor will receive payment via ACH ePayment or check.

Add a card

Users with pay permissions can add cards to pay vendors and bills.

  1. Select Settings.
  2. Select Card Accounts under Bank & Payment Accounts.
  3. Select Add New Card.
  4. Enter the full card info.
  5. Select Use address from profile only if the address on your BILL account matches the address on the card. If not, unselect the box and enter the address on the card.
  6. Select Continue

If you are prompted to complete identity verification, answer the questions based on your personal info, not the business, as we are verifying your identity.


Delete a card

Users with pay permissions can delete cards that they've added.

  1. Select Settings.
  2. Select Card Accounts under Bank & Payment Accounts
  3. Select Delete for the card you'd like to delete.

Edit a card

You can't edit a card once added. If you need to change card info, delete the card and add it as a new card

Things to know

  • You can add most debit and credit cards, but prepaid cards and gift cards aren't eligible at this time.
  • Only the user who added a card can pay bills with that card.
    • Each user who needs to pay bills with a card must add the card while logged in to BILL with their login and password, even if another user has added the same card.
  • Only the user who added a card can delete that card.
